The propagation in disconnected substrate developed a lot during the last years.
On the basis of this method the rapid rose propagation was developed. The "Mini-plants" and the "Cuttings" are innovative technique, which shortens the process of the plants preparation.
The plants of the new brand were found more suitable to the modern propagation and therefore are the popular in northern Europe,(Holland, Germany,) In Israel, America and Africa.
Half year bush
The rootstock mother-plant is grown under inspection in isolated open field. In the autumn mother-plants are planted in the field and grafted in the spring. The uprooting and the planting are done in the end of summer or the beginning of autumn. The plants are very stable and have a high take rate. The bushes can be stored for about 6 months in cool storage. The production, which is done once a year only, limits a lot the grower and the nurseryman as for the quantities and the variety as well.
Mini-plant
The mother-plants and the varieties are produced in green houses. The production cycle of the mini- plant takes two months and is being done in a modern green house with misting, complete climate control and shadowing. The product is very suitable for planting during the whole year round.
Cuttings
The growing in isolated beds increased the control in the root area and enabled the production of many varieties of roses with their roots without grafting. The production of the cuttings takes about two months. This saves the production and the breeding of the mother-plants and the grafting work, which makes it cheaper then Mini plants. Thanks to their cheap price the cuttings penetrate the markets more and more and the breeders strive to breed varieties which are compatible to this method of growing.
